Associate Pastor
Bro. John was saved at age 4 and answered the call to preach when he was 14. He moved back to Virginia in 2017 from Charlotte, North Carolina, where he served as the youth pastor of Harbor Baptist Church for 7 years and worked alongside Pastor Spivey. Bro. John heads up our visitor relations and assimilation processes here at Crossroads. He teaches the Sunday morning Starting Point class, which helps visitors and prospective members understand what Crossroads is all about. He also coordinates our Community Outreach, along with heading up our exciting Wednesday Night Master Clubs Kids Program! He graduated from the Crown College of the Bible, and was married to his wife, Mrs. Alena, between their Junior and Senior year of college.
Mrs. Alena helps with visitor relations and assists with the Ladies Ministries. She is also a Crown College Alumnus and was a business manager for 10 years. She has a heart for discipling young ladies and couples. They currently have one daughter (Alethea) and one son (Desmond).
