On Sunday, March 7, we celebrated one full year of God's faithfulness as He sustained us through one of the most trying years of our lives.

The Bible tells us in Mark 2:27 that man was not made for the sabbath day; rather, the sabbath day was made for man that he might rest and find sanctuary. As we enter Phase 4 as a church, our goal is simple: We want to provide every person who enters Crossroads Baptist Church a "sanctuary" to worship within where they personally feel safe and at peace.

We sent out a survey asking each household to weigh in on the decision-making process concerning the upcoming Phase 4 modifications. Prayer, planning and preparation concering Phase 4 took each of these anonymous surveys into account.

Our Phase 4

New Phase 4 Seating Chart

A. Masked-only Seating

This section of seating will require a mask to be worn by everyone at all times while in this area.

B. Socially-distanced Seating

This section of seating is exactly what we have been doing since we re-gathered on May 31, 2020. This section will still have the green tape on it, blocking off certain rows and providing numerous feet between your family and those sitting near you.

C. Open Seating

This section of seating will not have green tape or a seating rubric attached to it. This section is for those families who feel comfortable with sitting near other households and individuals. We do ask that you be respectful and considerate of those around you. Everyone's level of comfortability will be different.

D. Streaming Provided

Over the past year, we have worked tirelessly to provide the best service experience we can for those who still feel most comfortable watching from home as the pandemic winds down. We have updated almost every piece of technology in our video booth, including adding multiple new cameras. We will continue to LIVE-stream every time we gather for a worship service for those who aren't ready to return. We love you and are here to serve you in any way we can!

That being said, we want to encourage everyone to not grow complacent or comfortable at home. While technology is a major blessing from the Lord, it is no substitute for gathering in-person, singing corporately and hearing the word preached as the unified body of Christ. If you are able to come, we encourage you to come!

A Year in Review

On March 8, 2020, we highlighted our kids ministry, heard about the faith of Isaac and welcomed two new families to the Crossroads church membership. The last song we sang that day was "Christ is Mine Forevermore". This is what we sang to each other days before everything shutdown for 3 months:

"Mine are tears in times of sorrow, darkness not yet understood
Through the valley I must travel where I see no earthly good
But mine is peace that flows from heaven and the strength in times of need
I know my pain will not be wasted, Christ completes his work in me

Mine are days here as a stranger, pilgrim on a narrow way
One with Christ I will encounter harm and hatred for His name
But mine is armour for this battle, strong enough to last the war
And He has said He will deliver safely to the golden shore

And mine are keys to Zion city where beside the King I walk
For there my heart has found its treasure, Christ is mine forevermore

Come rejoice now, O my soul, for His love is my reward
Fear is gone and hope is sure, Christ is mine forevermore!"
