Martha Spivey, Administrative Assistant
A friend invited me to ride the church bus with her and I started attending First Missionary Baptist Church when I was 14 years old, and then a family would pick me up to attend the evening services. I am so thankful for that family! One Sunday night while sitting in a church service the Lord spoke to my heart and let me know that I needed to give Him my heart and my life. I accepted the Lord that night as my personal Savior and surrendered my life to Him. I started working with the Bus Ministry and later teaching Sunday School. My pastor encouraged me to go to a Christian college and I did. I met my husband, Clay, at youth camp while we were both counselors for our churches. We then attended Florida Baptist College together and married the next year. We have been blessed with three children and four grandchildren.
We have served together in multiple ministries for our entire married life. Clay was an assistant pastor, music director, youth pastor and bus director for many years and pastored for 16 years. We served as director and administrative director of a church missions board for 8 years.
